Please read this page completely and carefully as it is important to your well being. One will need to know these safety rules for any
type of working relationship with Spring Hill Lawn and Landscape to be possible. We will not let anyone put themselves in danger.
Joe will go over these safety measures with you, one by one. Please sign and deliver this sheet to Joe, once you have gone over
this with him.
Every new piece of equipment comes with safety rules. Please read, understand, and follow them. We enforce
safety practices among all employees.

Please, use care when operating any kind of machinery |
We Appreciate you all taking the time to read this safety page. We do care about your safety.
Safety is number one in our lawn and landscape business. If you should have any questions, at any time,
please stop your work and call Joe. Always w ear the eye protective gear which is provided to you
when you are mowing, trimming, edging,
sawing and working with debris.

Do not risk any harm to yourself or to others. |

● Never mow steep hills with a tractor. ________
● Always wear eye protection/ cover when performing tasks as mowing, trimming, edging, landscaping and sodding. ________
● Always clear individuals from the area when mowing, trimming, edging, landscaping and sodding. ________
● Never leave a machine with the engine running. ________
● Never work on a machine or touch any moving part without turning off the engine and
disconnecting the spark plug wire(s). ________
● Never use a machine for a purpose for which it is not designed or intended. ________
● Never operate a machine without each safety guards in place. _________
● Never modify a machine in any way that would increase revolutions per minute of impellers, blades, or other
moving parts. ___________
● Never design your own “blade boosters” or other moving parts, only use parts that have been supplied by a
major manufacturer. ___________
● If you work alone, take special care to avoid personal injury, as a minor scrape can cause serious
difficulty. Analyze your work routine, identify hazards, and find ways to avoid them. ___________
● Never put a new machine in service without reading and thoroughly understanding all specific safety
requirements. ___________

What Should I Do If I Should Ever Get Hurt ? |
● If you should ever be injured. Call 911 to get help. Do not drive yourself to get medical attention
(911 response is quicker and safer). ___________
Ask the homeowners to assist you in getting help if you are unable. ___________
Stop working! Do not try to continue work if you think your injury is small, STOP! ___________
Only trained medical personnel are able to assertain your medical status and or injury. ___________

When employed by Spring HillLawn and Landscape the above Safety Rules are to be used.
If you neglect to use the above safety rules your employment will terminated.
